Unwelcome visitor

This is an unusual looking bug for the UK so worth a photo but it also attacks my lilies so I'd rather not see it again.

Not as unusual to me as I'd like it to be. Looks like the bloody Lily beetle which devours lilies and for which none of the insecticides we are presently allowed to use seem very effective. It is a nice bright colour but that is about the only good thing I can say about it.

I hate these beetles. Only way forward is to crush the intruders underfoot. I found a PAIR of them 2 days ago. Yuk. Exterminate, exterminate !!!
