6am. Moraine Lake, BC, Canada. One of my favourite places on earth. Need I say more?
Do have a look at my black bear from yesterday folks! I must have posted at a weird time cos very few of you seem to have found it and I'm so keen to share my passions with you all! Looking forward to catching up when I'm back... bless you all!
@peadar Hi Peter- actually I've found the 7D quite tough to get used to despite the fact I've been an EOS girl for about 25 years. I also find the white balance very blue so I usually run on the shade white balance to warm things up. What about you?
@angelar I love the 7D, I bought a 17-40 L series lens and the combination really works. The only thing is the weight and (image-wise) it can be quite noisy at the higher ISO levels, but this can be remedied in Lightroom!
@peadar I'm a photoshop elements user but I haven't really got the hang of the noise issue but I love being able to bump the ISO up so high and keep shooting without flash. I too have a versatile lens- 35 to 85 and I find it incredibly useful. With a 400mm zoom too, I really find I need nothing more and that deals with everything I want to do! How do you get on with the white balance on the 7D then? I do begin to think my eyes see differently to everyone else!
@angelar Angela, I don't have a problem with white balance. I shoot in RAW and can adjust almost everything after that in Lightroom. Are you shooting in RAW or JPEG?
@peadar I've finally given in over this last holiday and started shooting RAW. I know the sense of it but I've always resisted because I just haven't got the time to process. I couldn't face the thought of taking bear and orcas without taking in RAW though!
