An ex pupil of our school died in tragic circumstances last Wednesday. I offer you her photo here so your thoughts can join the hundreds who said goodbye to her today in her memorial service and at a vigil in our school chapel.
What a wonderful tribute and such a sad tale of a girl so young. It reminds me of the suddenness of my own daughters death. I am sure the memorial service will be a fitting way to say goodbye and hopefully give some closure to all her friends.
The downside of being a teacher who played a key part in such a short life. During my own school days many years ago I lost two friends, Margaret and Sylvia. Whilst such events are uncommon, they are no easier to bear. Carla is enfolded in God's loving embrace.
