Knife Angel by angiedanielle24

Knife Angel

The sculpture, named "Knife Angel," was created in Oswestry, Shropshire, by the British Ironwork Centre. It took two years to build.

The knives were handed in by 41 police forces around the country during amnesties and confiscations.

The campaign, "Save a Life, Surrender Your Knife," and the statue aims to raise awareness of the growing issue of knife crime throughout the UK.

It is hoped that the Angel will stand on the 4th plinth in Trafalgar Square and there is a petition with over 12,000 signatures. Details below:-

Wow! An amazing sculpture. They need to do a campaign in the US called “Surrender Your Gun” and make an amazing sculpture out of that.

A very cool sculpture! Take the weapons and turn it into a piece of artwork that has a poignant meaning. We have gun issues in the US...violent crimes with illegal weapons. Fav.
