It is the time for Blini (блины) weeks in some restaurants. Blinis are a kind of Russian pancakes made of buckwheat and they are eaten with salty things like chopped onion, caviar, smetana, pickled gherkins, forest mushrooms, smoked reindeer etc.
Yesterday I went with friends to eat some blinis in Helsinki and we had a view over the celebration of the Chinese New Year. There were acrobats, dancers and other performances on the stage on the other side ot the street and fireworks, too. Unfortunately I had only a small pocket camera with me. The picture was taken through the window and you can see the reflection of some lamps.
