Hattifatteners (Moomin books) are dancing on the mossy tree stump. They are called Candlestick fungus, candlesnuff fungus or stag's horn fungus (Xylaria hypoxylon). My brother thinks that maybe Tove Jansson saw these small mushrooms in the woods and they gave her the model for Hattifatteners.
