This tree on a cliff stays alive thanks to its roots on the mainland, which you can see in the photo. Taken at Pictured Rocks on the south shore of Lake Superior.

@ninaganci Nina, apparently there was cliff underneath those roots but it crumbled away about 60 years ago, leaving the roots exposed. Glad you liked the photo. Thanks.
