I find it very hard to get a good photo of a Crow. This one stopped for a drink on my deck, so I was just a few feet away from him in the kitchen. Black animals with dark eyes are so hard to capture since no features stand out.
I am amazed at how well that eye shows - know just what you mean about black on black - so hard to define. You've done a real nice job - and love the crop.
@milaniet Thanks, Milanie. I had to crop out the clothes line pole to unclutter the shot. Sometimes necessity is the mother of invention, as they say, and leads to good things.
