Blue Jay

Jays are Corvids just like crows, ravens, and magpies. Very big, visible and noisy. At least the Blue Jays have beautiful feathers. It was drizzling rain. You can see some water on the bird if you look for it.
They are one of my favorite birds to photograph - they are gorgeous! Love this picture. Very nicely captured.

He's quite pretty against the black background - think he's probably the hardest bird for me to get a shot of. Very skittish and loves the inside of the trees where he's protected by a million branches. You got a great shot - and do love those raindrops.

@milaniet Lately several have been coming to my feeders numerous times per day. That's how I was able to get such a close photo. Helps too that they molted not that long ago and have new, bright feathers.
