Wintergreen Lake

This is the lake where I took the four previous waterfowl shots yesterday. Back when people were worried about Canada Geese disappearing, it was set aside as a sanctuary for them. It's a good spot to find migrating or wintering waterfowl in my area.
Where is it that you live? Canada Geese here are plentiful - to the point that last year they addled their eggs. Well, we certainly created an up-cry against THAT!
I like the muted colours here and how the white of the trees in the centre are featured.

@fugitivemoments Thanks. I live in Southwest Michigan. This sanctuary was started in the 1940;s by W.K. Kellogg (of the cereals). Apparently the CANGS were being overhunted at that time. No shortage of them now, I agree.

Looks like a great area for waterfowl; ours are mostly frozen today!

Hard to believe they were in short supply that recently - at least compared to today. Sure no shortage in Arkansas either. They are quite a beautiful bird. Love the sanctuary - though it definitely looks like winter already there. Very nice shot!

The bare trees give form to the composition. I like the story
