I love these Egrets with their comical yellow feet, but until I looked at this photo I didn't realize they had black nails. This one was quite tame on a busy jetty.
That is so neat! I never would have noticed it if you hadn't pointed it out. Wish I were detail oriented rather than big-picture person. I think there's a lot I miss! I'm always amazed at how those long skinny legs can hold him up! Wonderfully focused shot.
Great pic - fav. I thin its legs and feet look magnified with the bird at an angle. I wonder hat the big feet are used for - there must be and evolutionary reason.
