Spectacular shot! What fabulous dof and pov. How did you ever spot him like this to get such supurb detail and lighting! Was looking up the camera you use - really like what it's able to do (along with a photographer who knows how to make it do it!) but I worry about that extra pound of weight on my shoulder. Was a big Sony fan.
@milaniet He flew into a tree right above me when I was sitting on a deck, so I was really close. Lighting was not the best, but I was able to lighten the shadows while editing later in PS Elements, along with slight increase in color saturation and some sharpening. I think your camera is probably just as good as mine. My sister had a new Nikon Coolpix 610 and I noticed it did seem lighter than my Sony. When I went into the camera shop a few years ago I intended to buy a Canon but the salesman convinced me that the Zeiss lens on the Sony made it the best high zoom point and shoot. Very few people seem to use it, however, and I think the difference is slight.
