Nov. 1 check-in: I still can't get out to bird. Yesterday was Halloween and my husband taught his physics classes at the university wearing his Federation science officers' uniform because this year is the 50th anniversary of Star Trek. We had over 200 trick-or-treaters come to the door last night. Election just one week away now. If you can read the sign in our yard, you know how we are voting. It can't come soon enough!
