Cut-leaved Toothwort by annepann

Cut-leaved Toothwort

Native spring wildflower. Petals of the small white flowers are cross shaped, and the leaves are sharply divided (cut). This species is easy for me to remember since the leaves are so distinct and the name makes sense. I learned that "wort" comes from the old English "Wyrt," which means plant.
Very nice
