Eurasian Tree Sparrow in St. Louis by annepann

Eurasian Tree Sparrow in St. Louis

In1870 some Eurasian Tree Sparrows from Germany were brought to Missouri. They are still there - the only population in North America, spreading out a bit along the Mississippi. Photo is too noisy, but it is the best I have gotten so far on my visits there.
Great shot of an adorable bird!

Good shot on my iPad.
The sparrows introduced to Australia have spread all over and become a pest.
