Bitter sweet as narayani says, anniversaries, birthdays, Christmas all a little daunting the first time, but we get through and smile at all the happy memories.

It sure is bittersweet. It is that time of year when both my parents birthdays and the days they both passed away a year ago and the year before are crunched together in the 2nd half of November, and I just had their anniversary in October, so I know exactly what you mean.
