dead hydrangea head, white strawberry, daisy (though I've forgotten the type), dead crocosmia, pernettya/gaultheria berries, pink strawberry, sedum, snapdragon, schitzostylus.
There were also some red berries on a shrub, some blackened berries on the hypericum - and both roses and primulas - and viburnum - next door.
I'm with Narayani on this one - on all counts! 'tis also hot and dry here. Very hot and very dry. And yes indeed the grass is always greener.... Literally.
