what I saw was not what it was

the two statues looked like the late queen in her mature years and her younger self serving in the ATS. It is actually the Women's Royal Air Force memorial, but I don't understand the dates on it 1918-1920 and 1949-1994, because I'm sure my aunt was a WRAF. Google will probably supply the answer.

@beverley365 the answer is, that during the war years it was the WAAF (the Women's Auxiliary Air Force)
