Poor prostrate cow.
My horse used to lie flat out and motionless in the paddock. I always warned the barn owners that he was prone ;) to doing that so they wouldn't think he was dead. I've had vets tell me they've stopped to watch him to make sure he wasn't.
@meotzi TW3 - blast from the past. I follow someone on Twitter who has a pony who plays dead - and has a crow companion to complete the picture! I have been known to stand watching animals to be sure they're breathing :-)
