Have you got any pigs? I asked. She didn't think so - but she went to look. I meanwhile advanced upon her bookcase. Found The Porc-upine Twins, Green Eggs and Ham, Roald Dahl's rewritten Three Little Pigs, a book of farming anecdotes and this: the chapter header of a James Herriot book. (I'll credit the illustrator when I go downstairs.) It's Victor Ambrus - I should have recognised the style.)
