Had an absolutely awesome day with my Bug 🥰 we woke up about 10ish, lay in my bed watching some
@theverycoolgrandpa, then got up and sorted for a long day out the house! 🤗 We ate lunch early to go Hanley Forest Park for around half-12, and headed immediately into Stanworth's Funfair 🎢🎠
Lysh absolutely blew my mind with her bravery! She started off with the Yankee Flyer, next we both went on Tagada, then on the Sizzler together... and then we went on Freak Out... honestly, I really wasn't keen on her coming on it because it was fucking mad - but she did, and despite my concerns, she absolutely loved it! 😐🤯 we grabbed some food (and nearly Les's wallet too) 🌭🍟 then went on the Waltzers together despite my initial protesting (because they always make me feel sick)... lo and behold, afterwards, I felt sick! 🤮
Lysh continued her onslaught of justifying the wristband cost... onto the North Pole Fun House, back on Tagada a couple more times, coaxed me back on Sizzler with her again, back on Yankee Flyer again... and quite bewilderingly, she went back on Freak Out another 3x by herself! 😯 we bought some tango, candy floss, watermelon lolly, and sour spray for an energy boost 🍭 then headed into the regular park area at 4pm'ish where Lysh happily played on the swings in the baking sun... 🌞
Then we randomly decided to walk up the hill to the Orientation Point since it was a nice day! 🚶🏼🌳 some random couple came scrambling up the steep route with a blanket and a cake, then fucking vanished! I have no idea where they went?! 🤨 after a while, we headed back down to nip the loo's and ended up buying ice cream and a slushie from Sweetz & Treatz whilst we were there! 🍦😂
Next, Lysh announced she wanted to hang around to see the sunset before we headed back home 🌇😍 so to kill some time, we went off missioning around the back of the hills in the wilderness... Lysh got stung by nettles so I told her rub some dock leaves on it, which she apparently had no awareness of until now?! 🤯 then for tea, decided fuck it, we may as well pop into Hanley and grab a Maccies 🍗🍟 then we popped in Greggs as we passed to get donuts for pudding too 🍩😂
Wandered back up to the park and played on the swings until the sun was getting low... the we headed up to the fields at the back of the hills which we thought would have the best views 🤗 at this point, the temperature had dropped and Lysh was dressed in shorts & a crop top, so I donated her my coat whilst we waited 😁 some lads were thrashing around on crossers which made me a little anxious, as did the random couple we stumbled upon who were getting feisty in the grass 🤨🤣
The sun started dipping behind clouds before it properly set, and Lysh announced she needed the loo, so we started walking back home (I've hit 19k steps today so Lysh has put some serious mileage on her little legs!) 🚶🏼 then just as we're walking, Em & Jord drive passed us near Captain Kooks and give us a very appreciated lift the rest of the way home! ❤️
Lysh had a shower, I had a coffee, and then we both applied some after-sun after realising we've caught the sun a bit on our faces! 🥵🙈
Now she's gone bed and I'm sat here unwinding before I go bed myself! What a great day it's been with my favourite person, my heart is so full right now! 💛
