Countdown

Lysh is going out for breakfast with her aunts today & they're parking on my work car park. So I tell Sammie to pop in reception with Lysh & Tommy when they get here. I'm waiting patiently around near reception, chatting to Phil, when I see on Life360 that they've walked past the building and are marching off down the road! πŸ˜ πŸ˜‚ so I leg it out the office and run after them to say hi! πŸ˜… I'm scheduled for a few meetings today and didn't want to miss the opportunity to see them if I was unavailable when they returned to the car! πŸ™ˆπŸš—

Feels like that could be mild dysuria... or am I just imagining it? Gah. Anxiety is a prick for making you second guess yourself... or psychosomatically manifest physical sensations! 😡

Been for a quick trim at Barnet's because I'm trying to remain optimistic that I am going on holiday next week! πŸ’ˆβœ‚ really can't complain for the price and service πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ he's even trimmed my brows without me having a booksy appointment! πŸ˜‚

It dawned on me earlier today that a few years ago, we had all the global lockdowns and life came to a standstill. We couldn't travel. Hell, we couldn't even legally leave our houses at one point. We missed out on opportunities to make memories, to experience new things. We suspended living. In my lifetime, I have also lost several friends and family members - people who thought they had a lot more time left on this Earth. I've seen people close to me have their lives irreversibly changed by freak accidents or illnesses that now make travel nigh impossible for them. I've seen climate change reports call for the complete suspension of air travel. I've seen conflicts abroad threaten to erupt into world wars. Basically, what I'm getting at, is that life is short and the future is not promised. At least not with the same conditions as you have today. You never know what tomorrow will bring. Be grateful for the opportunities presented to you and don't let them pass you by unnecessarily. To that end, it's going to take something catastrophic to stop me going on holiday with Lysh next week. YOLO. Carpe diem. Etc.

Got home from work and loitered around patiently waiting for Natasha to arrive and undertake this house inspection. When she did arrive, she complimented my organisation as I presented her with a printed list detailing all known issues at the property including when they were first raised with the landlord/previous estate agent, and proposed remediation πŸ πŸ˜‚ I showed her around and we discussed all the noted issues and her observations, then she left saying she'd liaise with my landlady about a few of the cheaper/serious ones πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ after she left, I made myself some tuna, rice & veg, then sat and watched some Umbrella Academy β˜‚πŸ“Ί had a shower to wash all this loose hair off from earlier πŸ’ˆ then I've sat watching YouTube whilst working on Lightfade again - been using ChatGPT as a free copy editor providing literary criticism and continuity feedback. It's surprisingly effective! βœπŸΌπŸ˜…
