Tomato

No fancy stuff with this photo--just a picture of the oddest tomato that we have ever grown. And, they all look this way! We usually grow grape tomatoes but a friend gave us these "special" tomato plants. They're not especially tasty either and rather dry too. Oh well, maybe their purpose is just to make us laugh.
So funkified. Bet it tastes fine...and will make alotta salsa:).

Ha ha! Strange, but our neighbour has been giving us the same kind of tomato - all weird, dry and tasteless. Must be a new breed?

A great shape and colour shame about the flavour

@amandal Thank you, Amanda! Yes, odd looking tomatoes and, sadly, tasteless and dry.

@sharleen I know, right? Tasteless and dry. They remind of an Heirloom but I think that Heirlooms have a good taste.

@wendyfrost Thank you, Wendy! They are a conversation piece for sure but not much going for them otherwise.

@lilminimonka Thank you, Brianna! Silly tomatoes, they are!

@april16
Not sure about Heirlooms but they just came over with amazing tomatoes called "coeur de boeuf" (beef hearts) and they look like big juicy hearts. Sure hope they're tasty!

It might not taste good, but it's beautiful in its own way. Looks more like a pepper than a tomato.

@sharleen I hope they have good taste! We have tried "Beef Steak" tomatoes (given to us by a relative who took pity on us because of our tomatoes) and they were delicious!
