My First 365 Project Anniversary

Today marks my 365 Project one year anniversary! I've posted 323 photos--I didn't make it to posting every day but I'm still pleased with my accomplishment. I want to thank you all for welcoming me and for taking the time to teach me so much about photography. I've learned so very much.

In my 365 profile which I wrote on my first day here, I said that my goal was to stop relying on the "auto" setting and to learn how to use the manual settings. Thanks to you I've learned how to access the manual settings for aperture, ISO and shutter speed. You've also taught me so much about processing and composition. Due to a hectic schedule, I'm aware that I'm still relying on "auto" most of the time because I'm under pressure to post every day. I feel that if I give myself permission to slow down and to post only once or twice a week that I'll have more time to use the manual settings. We'll see how it goes!

I'll still be around and I'll be studying all of your beautiful photos each and every day because that is how I learn. I know that if I have any questions you will always be happy to answer them! You've always been so generous with your time and talent!

I wanted to post something that had a special meaning for me for my first 365 anniversary. I had some ideas but ran out of time; this is an older photo that I tweaked in ps and I'm going to recycle it because it expresses what I had in mind. Just a photography enthusiast with her camera. Maybe one day, if I keep watching and learning from all of you, I'll even feel confident enough to call myself a photographer! One can dream, right?

Make it a good one 365ers!
Jo
Congratulations!!! Taking photos is all you need to be a photographer and photography is a form of art there is no right or wrong. Yes there are many technical aspects but simply a viewer either likes the photo or does not. Enjoy manual mode it brings out the best in everyone!

congratulations, nice selfie. I have been out of touch for a couple of weeks while we have been away, but am on catch up again now.
This year I am still posting a photo every day, but not necessarily taken on the day it is posted. Much less pressure this way. I now post photos which I just simply like regardless of when they were taken.
