My name is Sybil and I am Dougal and Florence’s big sister. I am being a very good girl, unlike Florence who was very naughty yesterday. Do you know she would not go into the house even when it got dark and the humans went to bed and left her outside all night; I do not know where she slept.
I have never written in the journal, but as I am being a very good girl I have been allowed to do so. However, the ‘grandma’ who comes to feed us expected me to go outside to have my picture taken. I ask you, it had been raining, so even though she carried me outside, I scuttled back indoors very quickly and in this picture I am waiting for my medicine and my tea.
A message from the ‘grandma’. Florence has continued to be naughty today and has escaped outside this evening, even though it is raining, if she does not come in when she is called, she will sleep outside tonight too. Unlike Sybil and Polo who have a cosy house and the human’s beds to sleep on.
