Yes, I really need to hire someone to take photos of my paintings :D
I got permission from @borof to paint from https://365project.org/borof/365/2021-06-26
I really struggle with my painting flow. And I can not figure out what is happening. But this was so nice to paint. I used watercolour and ink. @monikozi
Aaaahaaahaaaa... I'm looking at this photo and realize just now that the pillars / columns are not aligned. The left one is further back than the right one. Well, the one month lack of exercise does have a saying.
@monikozi You have such a remarkable talent for seeing details. I think it’s terrific that you notice them like that. Your observation would have completely escaped me which is probably why you’re such a magnificent artist and I’m such a novice! That being said, as with any artistic endeavor, other artists might know what you know but the general public only sees the composition as a whole and it is terrific!
@monikozi - ah, at last, i've been waiting for you to come out of that doldrum we both fell in. good exercise to get back into the painting mojo. lovely colours. i don't see anything wrong with the pillars, except that the right one needs a bit of shading to equal the left one. i don't know what i'm saying so if i'm wrong, don't mind me. but aces to you, friend.
i, too, started to paint yesterday after three weeks of missing the mojo. i had to force myself. i did one of the seascape tutorials but based it also on a couple of my old photos. my cousin in the old country (we were best friends growing up until they moved when we were teenagers) called and when i showed her my paintings she said to draw a seaside scene for her. so i did and now if only this humidity gets out of the way, i can probably finish the 3 frames i've abandoned when the mojo went awol.
@monikozi I've been throwing away my recent fakled works!! Quite cathartic to lesrnbshsts gone wrong, and a little bit right, use the other side of the paper, repeat critique and rip it up!!!
@30pics4jackiesdiamond Why rip it up? Well, for starters, if it is cathartic, by all means rip it up! (you won't go to prison for that). But otherwise, I've seen some cool collage stuff done from fails. I think I have all my papers that I've painted on since I started last year. I think I only threw a couple which were really terrible and of no use, even in collage.
By the way, I should do some celebration painting. Last year, about this time, I picked up the brushes and started off on my painting journey. Whoop! Whoop!

My dear ladies! You have no idea how much I appreciate your support and encouragement. I am glad I made this step, and I really hope Mr Mojo is here to stay for a while. Which I wish you as well.
