Sorry I've been checked out on this site, haven't been doing much art work, busy with summer stuff. Also, have to admit, you gals and your wonderful talent sort of intimidate me!
Good news tho' my middle finger on left hand has started to hurt less, so when the weather changes and indoor activities commence, I shall be water coloring again.
In the mean time....I have been crafty. I designed and sewed these chair cushions.
Ellen @theredcamera
@theredcamera Ellen! These looks sooo profi! Excellent! I am tremendously happy that your hand is getting better.
I guess you sewed these on the machine, right?
I also like that cover. That looks so professional too. All the details. Very crafty lady, too.
@theredcamera the cushions look nice and comfy. If I remember rightly you have produced some fabulous artwork. Wouldn’t the world be a dull place if we were all the same. Take it easy with the finger and look forward to seeing your watercolours when you are good and ready.
@30pics4jackiesdiamond Hey, yeah, Jackie. I posted a photo of
S.V. Northern Comfort on July 9, while our neighbor was gone to get a nice side shot. Please go to my profile and and look at July's calendar.
Thanks for your reminder that all we artist's have our own style!
@theredcamera I can only add my praise for your cushions and the reminder the others have already stated about your painting talent and our agreement to not compare! I have to confess that some of the work I have seen you do has intimidated me as well but not going to let that stop me. I do understand when good weather is here not staying inside and painting. For me too it seems like a cold-weather activity.
@monikozi Thank you! Very nice comments. This was my last project on my sweet little sewing machine that was a Christmas present from my hubby so many years ago....I'm passing it on to my daughter-in-law so she can share in the frustra, no, the joy, of sewing. I had to move it on, my husband kept finding projects for me that the boats needed! That Sunbrella fabric isn't the easiest to work with if one doesn't have a commercial machine. Anyway, we have what we want, in the color we want and I didn't have to wait months for some custom job. The fabric showed up Tues. p.m., sipping wine on the deck with cushioned bottoms Friday afternoon!
@theredcamera - so am i the only one in the group who cannot handle a sewing machine? waaah! the colour is great, too, perfect for those deck chairs. aces, ellen.
@monikozi - mon, i will look for the photos for you.
