Day 14/100: Ballachulish by artsygang

Day 14/100: Ballachulish

Today I went back to trying to paint one of my photographs. This is the loch shore at Ballachulish, about 200 yards from the log cabin hubby and I stayed in. A very beautiful place. It was early April, so the snow was still on the peaks there.

Starting to quite look forward to painting something every day now. I am learning as I go and just trying things. Another 86 days to go......getting there!

Casablanca
@jamibann Painting this made me think of you! Scotland always does these days :)

@casablanca Wow! This is really beautiful! I'm so glad that you are enjoying the process. That is in fact the most important aspect. Learning comes along and the results are stunning. I wish I were with you on your 100th day to look back at your first. That will be amazing.

@casablanca Excellent job of capturing the snow covered peaks. Not easy to do snow and you have made it look fabulous

@casablanca - excellent work, young lady. love how you have captured the mountains and their snowy peaks. aces!

so jealous of your industry and dedication. i could not even do the 52 paintings i promised myself last year. i just choked come october. but i personally will see to it that you finish off this 100 days. even if i have to go there and chain you to your painting place. but most probably i will just nag you.😂

@summerfield Ha ha, that's funny! I will do it because I am doing it to support a friend. She is an artist and a super one but lost her Mum late last year. She wanted to do the 100 days to try to get her mojo back. She does beautiful mixed media paint and collage work, she is brilliant! So I have to keep going to get her through her 100 days.

I have to say, copying things is suiting me much better than the days when I have tried to do something from scratch. I don't have the skills, so copying is giving me a way of learning from one of my photos that is already 2D. Easier to see where the light and dark is, though I am a long way yet from being able to put on paper what I see. Patience, grasshopper.....

Thanks for your encouragement, I hugely appreciate it!
