Got my paints and brushes out of their cobwebby and dusty cupboard, followed (ish) the sheep tutorial and cheekily copied Katy's cutlery painting. I also copied Moni's 18th birthday card to make a get well card for a friend, but it didn't balance out my collage!! So thanks Moni too.
I had such a lovely couple of hours or so at my desk. I, and you will, see errors, but the recipients of the cards will be chosen as too polite to comment, or blind to them!!
@30pics4jackiesdiamond you managed in one day to do what has taken me all year to do. I am so impressed. More than that I am happy to have pushed you into it. Each one of these is fabulous. And I am glad to have been the inspiration for you.
By three methods we may learn wisdom: First, by reflection, which is noblest; Second, by imitation, which is easiest; and third by experience, which is the bitterest. Confucius
@randystreat well I'll opt for (2) easiest every time, then(1) reflection (critique) but often as you say its (3) experience that shows I'm not learning or progressing. Where is (4) that says we learn with joy??
@artsygang Oh, the art everyone is putting out is so inspiring! I am so honored to be part of this group, the talent, good recommendations and above all the positive support. I feel so bad for not contributing more. I discourage my self as my stuff disappoints me sometimes. But with the good encouragement here, I should take more advantage. Keep going everyone, I love seeing your creativity.
@wakelys I'm not going there by bus!!! @theredcamera your work wows me, I know I'll never be as good, but it's inspirational, beautiful and if you choose to upload it, know you like it
