Thanks everyone. I only saw the goat after Jacqueline pointed it out. One thing I found interesting is how different the individual blocks are. I did take a photo before I removed the tape although it does not really look much different. Probably because the tape didn't hold much paint, I was using watercolours. Acrylics and oils would behave differently I believe.

@salza I did two, both in gouache, the same colours, and they don't look the same. I am sure this is a very interesting study in any medium. I do plan to do it again.

@30pics4jackiesdiamond - i registered for the free course yesterday and that was the only time i found out it was ending today, june 10th. i'm still fine and i have june 16 to go through the course. i have 3 canvas on the go so i don't know if i'm able to do that. but we can always play 'smear the board with paints' why don't we!

@30pics4jackiesdiamond Well, i did not even dare open the links in that email. I am sure i can not afford that price. But the free course is enough. And those lectures attached to each lesson are so invigorating. I bet the course is even better.
All of a sudden, Emma's look so affordable and compelling :)

@30pics4jackiesdiamond Jackie, I have saved the text version of the videos and assignments which I can email to you should you be interested.
With the current exchange rate her course would cost me around R20000. That's rather a steep outlay. I can overhaul my grooming area with that and probably have some change 😆
Who is Emma? I have heard you mention AYWMC before.

Inda @pinkpaintpot recently posted a beautiful watercolour sky, and told me about an on line course she did. Next one is in Sept and is much more affordable!!
