@salza this looks so cool Sally! What did you use to get the effect in the clouds? I’m a oil painter and use such a different technique but very interested to learn…

@jacqbb I applied texture paste with a palette knife to the canvas before painting. In the original triptych I used a smooth texture paste but in the stand alone painting I've used a rough one. I think if you want a similar effect with oils then you apply it thicker and with a palette knife. I don't think that I have ever used texture paste with oils. I will check on the container if it says what paints it is suitable for.
