this was what kept me occupied last night and this morning before i went for my walk. the tutorial is again by harriet de winton https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t6sD3NRmlWg but hers is yellow. i have a photo of a pink water lily that i've been wanting to paint but flowers in details are to me quite daunting. so i emulated de winton's lily and followed her procedures but i kept my water lily pink, consulting my photograph.
i thought that the edges could do some improvement if i used a masking fluid. so i got a brand new one yesterday when i passed by the craft store yesterday and started a new one. the endeavor though was a complete fail because when i removed the mask, it tore on the paper. so i will have to revisit that at some other time.
Wow! And you said my birds were difficult to do…… my compliments for doing this one!
Your petals are lovely and you followed the video beautifully. I’m certainly want to try this only not right away.
@summerfield well done. You got the details and shading of the petals perfectly and it’s not easy to change the colors in a tutorial. I especially like the watery background.
