I took loads of photos of this icicle hanging out of a gutter played around lighting it in different ways with an LED torch and red filter but ended up choosing this grey old shot that is more or less B&W. I could have used a nice one of our dog or cats sat in the window looking out at the snow but I didn’t - Its hard choosing sometimes, still not sure I made the right decision.

This is lovely - pin sharp and I think you have chosen an interesting image. The trees in the distance also give context. The only comment I would add is to have a play around with whatever software you use to try increasing the contrast and also the exposure. This will brighten the entire image and really show off the icicle :-)
