had another look at your shot today since I used it on the 'your fav of someone else thread' and it just occured to me that I know now where the German word "Seehund" = seal (literally translated it means 'sea dog')comes from

@khirsch some language is obviously originated from observations and likeness. I think it is the whisker around the nose.

@barrowlane could be the whiskers, but I think in the case the seal/Seehund its the barking sound they make as well
