I took a photo of these huts on the 1st of may, look at the tree now.

I haven't heard the word Nissen huts for ages....you don't see as many around as you used to!

@happypat There are quite a few abound around here. Mainly left over from military use. These are a Frenchay hospital in Bristol. It was given to the Americans in the 1940s and they built quite a few of theses and other buildings on the site. it is a real mix of old and new. Thanks for the comments.

What a gorgeous tree. It really overpowers the huts. Probably keeps them cool!

@barrowlane I found this great oak tree a couple of weeks ago I was going to snap in Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter, it was bare branches .... drove past today and it's covered in bloody leaves!!!

@shweetheart Thanks I would imagine they are used for storage but no sure.

@farmreporter @khirsch Thanks. The tree has really developed over the past few week. There will be a lot of leaves on the ground in the autumn.

@ch1ppy_m1nton Yes I took one in the village back in Feb but I fear I have left it a bit late. Although the leave are young and fresh now so still worth a photo.
