Ancient Pedunculate Oak Tree - 16-6

Remember http://365project.org/barrowlane/365/2013-01-25
Ancient Pedunculate Oak Tree. The tree may date from 1350-1450 (using John White's 1998 paper to estimate its age) and as there are quite low branches the tree's immediate area may well have been clear of other trees then.
This large tree looks somewhat weighed down...an old, old man!!

Lovely ancient thing. I really appreciate having the opportunity to see it in a different season :-)

What a magnificent tree. And, it has witnessed so much! Thank you for both pictures.
