I love these birds we have a pair that visit the feeder at work. It would be nice to get a shot of them together but they seldom feed together one always seems to be on the lookout while the other feeds.

The nuthatch is a plump bird about the size of a great tit that resembles a small woodpecker. It is blue-grey above and whitish below, with chestnut on its sides and under its tail. It has a black stripe on its head, a long black pointed bill, and short legs. It breeds in central and southern England and in Wales, and is resident, with birds seldom travelling far from the woods where they hatch.
Wonderful capture and fav! I too enjoy theses birds - they often scramble about the vertical trees trunks sideways or upside down as they search for food. Ao cute
@emmadurnford Thanks for your comments. I am lucky to have the birds visit us at work so I doubt I will go there for the count but I may do it in my garden at home.
