Injecting calves - 18-01

I spent the day helping with some calf injecting. The long spell of wet weather takes its toll on livestock and preventative measures are required to help stop the danger of them getting respiratory diseases.
Poor you ...a wet day for all...no let up for weekend as usual!! I bet they were glad of your help Rob.

Another great capture and really interesting info with it. That's what is so fascinating about 365, I get to see things and events I never would normally - thank you.

What an interesting shot. Are you a vet?

@teiko Thank for the comments. I'm not a vet nor is my son, the one in the photo. Farmers tend to administer routine drugs to their cattle normally on the advice of a vet who supply the drugs. The vet would charge about £130 an hour to come and do the job for you. The drugs alone cost £1500 to inject 75 heifers.
