Beyond the ha ha

I wonder how many people know what a ha ha is? Rear view of Stourhead house bathed in the lovely spring sunshine yesterday 21/03/15. Filling some gaps.

I do! Rather an elegant building here. It could do with a few daffodils in the breeze!

I know! It's a ditch to keep the sheep and cattle out without obscuring the view from the house with a fence. Lovely architecture.
