Molasses quick bread? What an intriguing thing, never heard of it. I see the recipe is all in cups. I still never understand the cup system - I am old fashioned Brit Girl and still use my scales in pounds, ounces and mls.
The "cups, teaspoons and tablespoons" system of measurement comes from a time when many people didn't have anything to measure with, and a "cup" was just whatever cup you had in your cabinet. Teaspoons and tablespoons came out of your cutlery drawer. Simple measurements anyone can use, for a simpler time. @casablanca
