Not Holden up real well

My son's '54 FJ Holden that he hopes to one day restore.

Great rustic photo.

Fabulous title Sheralee - this will be an amazing restoration. This is sure to keep him busy and broke for several years - but will be incredibly satisfying. Keep us posted on the progress.

That will be A LOT of work!!! But, hey, he can dream... great picture!

He´d better start it right now if he ever wants to drive it,hehehehe....anyway, it would be worth it, for sure

Funny title, I love it. Great angle you've taken this shot at. Looks like it'll be a whole heap of work for your son!! xx
June 27th, 2011
I agree...great title and A LOT of work!! He won't have any reason to say he has nothing to do for quite some time! ;-)

needs some TLC me thinks.

@bobfoto @specky @psychographer @maribelrivera @geertje @murnane @alia_801 @kaustin
{whispering so he doesn't hear me} with a wife, 3 kids and a house he has to build in his spare time, I don't think we'll be seeing that car finished in my lifetime ;o)
June 27th, 2011
it's certainly looking it's age, hope he manages to restore it though, they can be beautiful when returned to their former glory:)
June 27th, 2011
Lots of character in this shot! So many skills and hours required to restore it ..... a labour of love. Maybe his kids can help! Cool shot!
June 27th, 2011
Very cool shot. Love the texture of the rusty paintwork.
June 27th, 2011
I think it needs rather a lot of work, would love to see the finished product!!! Just a little bit of rust to fix up!!
June 27th, 2011
LOL! I really did laugh out loud at your title :) Lots of work there to be done...perhaps one day (not any time soon I imagine) we'll see a pic of the finished job ;)
June 27th, 2011
Great gritty photo. Your boy has his work cut out for him :)
June 27th, 2011
Lots of work there but will be beautiful if ever finished!
June 27th, 2011
I hope you take shots throughout the restoration. Love the photo and those litle details, like that front wheel deflated.
June 27th, 2011

Great shot of this vintage car! I'm sure it will be a lot of work, but will turn out awesome!
June 27th, 2011
What a great shot! He's got his work cut out for him, but what a great car he will have when he is finished. :)

June 28th, 2011
Upkeep is everything! Great capture
June 28th, 2011
Nice shot. A lot of work ahead of him but I am sure that it will be worth it in the end. Has he ever done anything like this before?
June 28th, 2011
Where or where is this gem hiding? My son would just love to get his hands on this. She obviously needs a fair bit of TLC but it would be great to see her looking her best again. Great shot.
June 28th, 2011
this is a great shot! I love the tones and textures in this car (which clearly aren't supposed to be there but make for a wonderful composition).
June 28th, 2011
@coolgirlsar - this is only a 365-project... if we wait for a finished product, Sheralee might be on her 10th year!
June 28th, 2011
@coolgirlsar @bobfoto Hehe... That's a definite possibility!

@bkbinthecity Not really, other than tinkering, I think it's just one of those dream projects :)

@rach_who In the Towers Rach but he drove all the way to Warrick and brought it home on a trailer!

@orangecrush Mmmm... let me think about that... NO! ;-)
June 28th, 2011
definitely a doer-upper, nice pic :)
June 28th, 2011
Cool shot! Like the title! That could be one fine car again..one day!
June 29th, 2011
great textures on the car and a perfect background choice.
June 30th, 2011
great textures! this would be a beauty restored!! hopefully one day he can do it!

Sheralee I'm not sure what triggered my memory of this old girl sitting in the paddock but I'm hoping she is still there. But I do have a small favour to ask. Do you know if your son got any spare parts with the car when he purchased it? Why I'm asking my son has lost his door lock and we are trying to track down a replacement.
June 15th, 2012
@rach_who Good memory Rach! I really doubt that he would have anything but I will ask him. Just remind me if you don't hear from me.
June 15th, 2012
Thanks for chasing that up. :-) We might have to go out in the middle of the night and pinch the one off this old girl. lol
June 16th, 2012
@rach_who I'm thinking you might be lucky to even find one on her ;-)
