This old thing we've had 30 plus years! My hubby's family owned horses years ago. Most recently from 1995 to 2009 we used it on our beloved Blue Heeler, Cowboy, to pull out his undercoat when he was shedding. He loved it and would stand still and let us brush him! I promise, no dog abuse, his fur was so thick, you couldn't get to the skin with any brush or comb! We lost him to coyotes....
