Day 280 - I'm not sure what these fields are near where I live, but they are still growing strong, they have just started going brown at the base of the plants.
It's probably field corn like we grow here in Iowa. Not sure where you live, some places call it maize. Sweet corn doesn't usually grow as tall and the growing season for it isn't as long. This kind of corn isn't good for us to eat like sweetcorn, it's used for livestock feed and a jillion other things, even gas for cars.
