Day 192 - Today we visited the beautiful Bath Abbey, but not content with visiting my husband paid for us to go on the tower tour! This involved climbing 212 narrow steps of a spiral staircase, we paused 1/2 way up at the ringing chamber, where we visited the back of the towers clock face, and the huge bells which rang at 15.15 deafing all of us. We then carried on upto the top of the tower where we could walk around and view Bath from all four sides, the big picture shows The Roman Baths (bottom left) all the way upto the Thermae Bath Spa (top right) the apartment we're rented overlooks this. The beautiful carved ceiling in the Abbey is only 4" thick and we were poised above it!
A fantastic set of images Michelle and it sounds like a wonderful day. I’ve only been to Bath once and loved it. We did do and see a lot but we didn’t do this. A good reason to go again.
