Day 249 - I decided on Thursday I was bored so my lovely husband booked us a weekend away in Colchester. We are staying in this beautiful hotel called the Rose and Crown which dates back to 1400AD and has existed for over six centuries. It has witnessed Roman occupation, Saxon reign, the uprising of Queen Boudicca, fires in the 18th century, the aftershock of an earthquake and two World Wars. The inside is full of Tutor beams and had been sympathetically renovated in accordance with its listed status - I just hope it's not haunted!
