The loneliness of the high sided Road

This is Haslar Road in Gosport. The road is bounded either side by a 10 foot high wall for most of its length. It’s an oven in the summer and wind funnel in the winter. A depressing road, but interesting

I like the bareness of the place. Like Susan said - looks like the walls of a prison.

The wall on the right is for the old DERA site, now Qinetiq (MoD Scientific Research establishment), the wall closest me is what was Haslar Hospital, now a housing development (keeping the old buildings). There was a prison not far away, became an immigrant detention centre, I think it is now closed. Thank you for the comments,
