Sea Beams. by billdavidson

Sea Beams.

A piece of modern sculpture by Donald Urquhart beside the harbour at Dysart. Nine vertical oak beams are painted in different shades of blue and are meant to match the colours of the sky throughout the year. They are also supposed to represent the masts of 19th century clippers which carried coal and salt to the Netherlands and to Scandinavia. Some locals think that they are a total waste of space and money. I rather like them.......
They go well in that spot

I like them. Their colors look really great against sky, and water. I love that you captured that seagull hanging out on one. Great shot.
