Shrouds of the Somme by billyboy

Shrouds of the Somme

Shrouds of the Somme is an extraordinary physical representation of every one of the 72,396 British Commonwealth servicemen killed at the Somme during the First World War and have no known grave.

All 72,396 shrouded figures were created by artist Rob Heard and is on display until 18 November. It is quite remarkable.

Great collage. I think it is a great way to remember all those men who died.
