Had an awesome time at London zoo. Hubby arrived back today ( well yesterday but we didn't get back until midnight after a delicious meal.
Lovely meeting hubby at Heathrow.
Three good things today (yesterday now at the time for writing this....)
1. Meeting hubby at Heathrow
2. Meal at The Angel and Crown
3. Awesome day at London zoo
When you look through your camera you have a scale at the bottom of the screen. That is your exposure. If its not in the middle your image will be either under or over exposed.
Try looking through and while doing that rotate one of your dials and you will see it move. Get in practice of getting that in the center and playing around with the two dials that effect this.
In this should you could of opened up your aperture further to let more light in, had a faster shutter speed if they were not running around or increased your ISO up to 1600.
Zoo shots are very difficult shots as you are normally in a position that is not idea and you can not move around. The little buggers you are trying to photograph are never in the spot that makes for a good shot.
This shot I would of liked to see more of the story. The story to me is what he is looking at, what is capturing his attention.
You also need to watch where you crop the image. Here you cropped at the wrists.. It is a bit of a no no to cut things off a joints. Cut half way between joints just not at the joints.
yes it is much better.
here is how I approach and image.
What is the story that I am trying to tell. Are there eliments in the image that either add to the story or take away from that story. If they take away I take them out of the image. if the add to the image I hightlight these.
