It was eight years ago yesterday, October 27th that my Dad passed away. So of course I have been thinking about him. He would have been 80 years old . This is a picture I took of an old picture that I have. Here my sister and myself, the one sitting on his stomach, are having fun with Dad. This was taken in 1963 or 1964
This is one of the reasons why it is so great to have old photos that you can always go back to and reminice of great times from the past

I love all the smiles. How nice that someone (Mom, perhaps?) was there to record this moment. Pre-digital, It used to be much less likely for someone to grab a camera for a moment such as this.
Sorry for your loss. what a sweet memory. I lost my dad 24 years ago and I still get sentimental about old photos. We have a photo very similar to this from the same era!
Such a sweet way to remember your Dad. I've been scanning all my parent's and grandparents old slides lately and enjoying so much bringing all those old memories back to life. They are treasures.
